ha. :D
In less alliteration---hi, how are you? I've been messing around with my old crayola watercolor packets.
It's a Wednesday afternoon, and I'm filling up my weekday time by computerizing and slouching on an exercise ball.
I have a question though---who are your favorite music artists and why? I have my own favorites, and I'm curious to know what makes people love their musicians.
Is it the sound of their voices? Their songwriting abilities? The way their personalities bleed through their music? All of the above?
I'm a weird person in many regards, but one of those weirdnesses of mine is that I have an incredibly hard time understanding and/or memorizing lyrics. I literally have to read along with the words if I actually want to understand what's going on withing the melodies.
This means that whenever I get a song stuck in my head---which is a constant thing---it's a safe guess that I'm making up the words.
---Fun fact on this one: When I was little and sang the song "God Bless America", I made up my own gibberish phrases for the words that I never heard correctly.
Needless to say, this caused me to grow up a very confused child.
Gibberish phrases set aside, I'm still interested to know why you like the musicians you do. What are you partial to?

hmmm...I wonder where this post sprang from... ;)
personally, if a song's lyrics resonate with me, or if they flow in a clever way, I immediately fall in love. That's what happened with twenty one pilots--the way the lyrics are written and the way they flow out of his mouth fascinate me. But with Imagine Dragons, the mandolin-ish sound of It's Time was what hooked me. So unique or out of the ordinary instruments fascinate me.
it also depends on what mood I'm in. I may love a song one day, and then hate it with a fervor the next day, lol. ;)
also: astounding alliteration. I adore it.
Love ya!

Ely, I don't like the convicting way you say that... :D
*guilty face*
On one hand, listening to music while I write stimulates my brain, but on the other hand, sometimes I get so distracted by it, it becomes the only thing I can talk about... >_>
It's Time mandolin-y and acoustic sound = AMAZING. I got so excited one day when I was at Khol's Department Store and they started blasting that song on the radio...heheheh.
All of the above for me. My favourite artists are Josh Groban, Adam Young, and Enya.
Like you, I too like it when I have to look up the lyrics to know what is being sung. I think it makes the song feel more real to me. And I can understand it better.
And artist wise. I like Enya because of the fact she sings in Elvish, I feel like I'm in a fantasy world when I listen to her, and she seems very shy and quiet - which for a shy person it is great to see others who are doing things they love.
I really like Josh Groban's because I can relate to his songs, he has a great voice, he seems very nice from interviews and such, but he is also funny. I follow him on Twitter and facebook and he is always posting amusing things.
And that be my rant.
Really?
I've memorized every song on my iPod......twice.
Even the instrumental ones.
I'm wierd like that.
And it's awesome.
