I have this friend, see. She's a bloggy friend, and she's very talented. She writes and draws and paints and takes pictures and is a nerd. And right now, she is organizing something called "Nerd Life". It started this July, so you should check it out soon.
On a related note, I am dying a slow, painful, and extremely boring death by novel. Novel writing. Novelising? I think it's only fair to tell you not to get your hopes up as far as this new plot that I'm working on for Camp NaNo. Quite honestly, it looks like something you'd find in the margins of a fourth grader's math binder.
...Only a lot longer and with a lot of chunk.
In the words of Agnes:
"IT'S SO FLUFFY, I'M GONNA DIEEEE!!"
Because seriously now, I look at my paragraphs and I dread the day when I might have to flush out all of the unnecessary spew of ramblingness just to knock my word count up. Writing can kill.
But "Why?" You ask, as you sit alone at your desk, with bowl of soggy Captain Crunch as your only companion. "Does this relate to Clair's Nerd Life??"
"Easy answer." I reply with a smug grin on my face. "Clair is being nice and giving us Camp NaNo-ers a break. Instead of reading a appallingly-large stack of books or wading through a giant wad of British TV, Clair is being merciful and giving the NaNo nation a little incentive to novel their ways through July (that is, if their novel is science fiction, fan fiction, fantasy fiction...basically anything nerdish)."
"Ah, I get it." You say, content with my answer, and vaguely amused at the way I keep narrating.
"So, as said before, be sure to check out Clair's blog at Working Title. Also, you can see some of her artwork as featured in Jack Lewis Baillot's book Haphazardly Implausible."
I think that's it for now, bloglings.
You can check up on my NaNo progress here.
God bless,
K-Minty
