My Poem Of America ...Not So Bad As Far As Homework Goes...

My Homeland of Promise

America, Land of...

Vibrant sunsets, speckled with cotton candy colored clouds,

Sun-baked foothills, over which empty breezes whisper in the silence,

Acres of rustic woods, filled with creaking trunks and quivering leaves,

Awe-inspiring eagles, that soar effortlessly through the air, riding on the wings of the wind,

Clear, smooth, soundless lakes, that reflect the beauty of the lands around them,

Perilous cliffs, breath-taking canyons, and vast caverns, that rest under the skies of opportunity.

America, Land of...

Broken people, who hunger to know the true meaning of love, justice, and peace,

God's own people, who shall always have a lasting future, and a living hope.

"The free and the brave."
"God Bless America,
My home sweet home."
