Compatriot

It's so not perfect. But it's so completely worth it.

Have you fallen in love with the way we laugh together and the air around us crackles and ignites with joy yet? Can you feel what songs and words live and flutter on the tips of our tongues when the night sky turns the fireflies on high? It's something all around you, and it's anything from extraordinary, because ordinary is exactly what it is:
Oh diaphanous summertime!
We are just the crazy people of the world, taking over and playing make-believe. We live with our smiles on, fears behind, and we talk a lot with our hands. I'll be me, and you'll all laugh at the way I fail with miserable ardour every time I try to do anything impressive. Then I'll be me again, and tease you all for doing the same with me. It's very possible that we are only a pack of fools with wide grins and even wider hearts. True, we embrace what's before us, swallowing it whole. We walk in the dark, but if it weren't for the dark, we'd never see the stars. I'll be thankful, and even if I'm alone for the time being, I'll never forget the way all of us would sing lullabies as the flames leapt to great heights in the midnight.
There was no slumber.

We are The Explorers.
We are the Life-Seizers; strangling it's very juice.
And whenever those sad, shadowy moments come fleeing back to me, I'll think of those imaginary moments that we had together.
