Creepy Crawly Attack III
Saturday morning, 9\12\09
Up and at um! rise and shine! Wow I was really tired!! I got up put on my jeans and T-shirt and my shoes and socks and decided to go out onto the porch where my mom and dad were sitting. I was still kinda scared about walking barefoot around the cabin, but what could I do? I was reminded as I started putting on my tennis shoes of all the dirt that had built up in them, so I decided to dump them out. As I came down the stairs from the loft I made shore to check the corner where all the 'excitement' had happened yesterday night. All was clear. I stepped outside in the fresh morning, said hi to Mom and Dad, then found myself and seat and started emptying the dirt and dust. I had noticed that someone had put the box right side up again and it had clothes spread out over the top. I thought it was my shirt and shorts I had been wearing the day before and I knew that Mom had taken my clothes and put them outside to get the smoke smell out of them. So I asked Mom if those were my clothes because I didn't really want them to be on the same box that held on of the biggest spiders I had seen! But no, they were just my dad's stuff and he doesn't mind that kind of thing. Then I remembered that we had joked about finding a spider leg in the door so I checked just to make shore, of course I found nothing. I sat back down and THC's mom came out. She talked a little and then started to go in through the other door that lead to the dinning room. "Oh, well here's our spider" I herd her say very calmly. I got up and ran over to where she found him. There he was sitting in another corner, of course he did look much smaller than in the house. So my dad came to look at him for the first time while THC's mom went back inside. So Dad finds the broom, which luckily was right there, and starts sweeping the little guy down the stairs. What could go wrong now? The spider was almost gone! But nope, I was once again wrong. Our eight-legged friend had gotten stuck, upside down, on a crack in the wood on the step!! It's hard to imagine how something that looked so big could get stuck on something so small, but hey, that's life! So finally, Dad did get him off the step by doing this: getting a stick and snagging the spiders front legs on it and carrying him up, of the ground until it fell off. After that we decided that he was far away enough from the cabin so we just left him there.
A little while later me and THC ( who unfortunately wasn't there when the spider was found the second time ) decided to go and check on him. I was kinda sad when I saw him because he looked like he had died. He was all shriveled up and very small looking. I think he might have had to much contact with humans. So we started taking pictures of him but of course, we couldn't get a good shot, but still, it was nice because he was staying so still! So after a short time I was going to say good-bye to him because we where going to leave but when we got there something surprised us very much. HE WAS GONE.
We though he must have been eaten by a bird, but with all the bad luck with spiders I can picture him crawling into the car... ( I guess we'll never know )
